Kanna was founded in 1985 by the two De La Cerda brothers. All KANNA shoes are being produced in the region of Murcia, Spain, where Kanna is located. The DNA and foundation of the brand is the manufacturing of handmade jute shoes crafted with the regional technique called “punto ojal”, being the attachment of the sole to the upper 100% hand-sewn. Kanna works with artisans from the area who use this age-old technique. Currently, Kanna is one of the leading footwear brands in Spain within the shoe industry.
